“Ford is a leader in safety and fuel economy - not even Toyota or Honda can match the new Escape’s safety and fuel efficiency ratings.”
The 2009 Ford Escape and Escape Hybrid are now ranking above the small SUVs offered by Toyota and Honda in Safety and Fuel Efficiency ratings respectively.
“We’ve devoted many hours to analyzing and developing the body structure, safety belts and air bags of Escape for better performance in front and side impact crashes,” said Steve Kozak, chief engineer for safety systems, Ford Motor Company. “We’ve taken our compact SUVs to the next level of safety and have achieved better ratings than fierce competitors such as Toyota.” (more…)

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is a traveling tour that is coming to Nanaimo BC. The clinic will take place from 11:30-1pm on Sunday August 24th 2008 at Fairwinds Golf Course in Nanoose Bay. Kids of all ages and skill levels are welcome to register and attend the event. There will be instruction by Canadian PGA Professionals, as well as a Free Tee gift and refreshments included. The MKS “landed” in our showroom a couple weeks ago, and it has been impressive. The Lincoln started with what could possibly be my favourite commercial, Starship’s Don’t Need Keys! It comes fully loaded with all sorts of features standard (such as heated and cooled seats). Plus, the 2009 MKS just looks great!
Cars.com’s David Thomas did a video review of the MKS and he commends the luxury sedan for it’s space and absolutely luxurious interier. Have a look: Cars.com.

The two week vacation and vehicle review test is finally completed and Suburban Dad and family have ranked the 4 family vehicles in several catagories, including Gas Mileage. The best result of all is the Ford Flex’s overall win!
Overall: 1st Place: “The Ford Flex is the best, no question,” my 13-year-old daughter pronounced, and she spoke for the family. Between the car’s unique looks, its cool electronic features, its roominess and its comfort, it set a tone that none of the others could match. While my wife would have preferred to sit higher up, like in the Pilot, even she named the Flex as her overall winner. Considering how much the Flex wowed our friends and relatives, it probably deserves the top spot…
Flex also won the catgories for best of Looks, Comfort and Gas Mileage (21.6 mpg). (more…)
